The 8th annual Hidden Gardens of the Valley Tour is scheduled for Sunday, May 19, 2013 from 10 am to 4 pm.
Valley Humane Society’s Hidden Gardens of the Valley is a self-guided, rain-or-shine tour of ten beautiful private gardens throughout Pleasanton. Unearth creative ideas for your own yard by attending this unique fundraiser which benefits VHS cats and dogs. With different locations every year, Hidden Gardens always sprouts new ideas!
In addition to a bounty of inspiration, meet The Dirt Gardener, Buzz Bertolero, en route, answering all of your gardening questions. Enjoy working artist Debbie Wardrope and shop a variety of beautiful handmade objects, from birdhouses to wind chimes, stained glass garden art to jewelry. Backyard grillmasters will love a taste of fabulous handmade sausages.
There are plenty of goodies for tour goers to enjoy. Take home favors such as 4″ annuals, bird seed, a shopping bag, and treats for both you and your pet! Be sure to pick up tickets to enter our raffle. At lunchtime, wander downtown for a visit to Handles Gastropub or RedCoats British Pub & Restaurant. Both eateries offer tasty fare and will donate a portion of your bill to Valley Humane Society.
