Success Story: Chumba and Wumba

Mar 7, 2025

Chumba and Wumba came to Valley Humane as tiny kittens last spring. After spending a few weeks in a loving foster home and getting neutered at the Phil Scholz Veterinary Surgery Center, they were ready for their new home. Roma and her family welcomed them in with open arms, renamed them Kuiper and Curie, and recently let us know how it’s been going.

“Kuiper and Curie are doing great! They love to wrestle, explore the house, and play in the blinds to look out of the windows. We are so thankful to have them as family members and thankful to their foster home for doing a great job socializing them. Valley Humane is a great organization and we had a great experience adopting with you all.”

Tell Us Your Story!

Have you recently adopted a cat or dog from Valley Humane? Let us know how things are going! Send your cutest, clearest photos and all those adorable details about life with your new best friend on the form here. Be sure to include your first and last name and your pet’s shelter name (if known).

Your stories and photos will show others that happiness and love may be found with a rescued animal, and encourage them to consider adopting their next pet. Valley Humane Society may use the items you send in print or online, in The Scoop e-newsletter, program brochures, donor mailings, social media, or other materials. Items may be edited for length, content, and/or quality.
