Thank you for considering adopting a pet from Valley Humane! We're excited to help you take the first step toward welcoming a new furry family member into your life. Our application process is designed to ensure the best possible match between our animals and their future families.

Adoption Inquiry Form

Your thoughtful responses on this form will help us understand your preferences, lifestyle, and expectations, and act as a starting point for our conversation. Our goal is to make a good match for you while taking the needs of the animal into consideration. Potential adopters must be at least 18 years old and (if under 21) have a co-adopter age 21+ at the same residence.

Please stand by to hear back from our adoption counselor and participate in a telephone review of your application (typically same-day). If approved, we will schedule an appointment for you to meet the animal at our Nevada Street adoption center in Pleasanton. Animal shown on the website are ready and available to go home; adoption appointments are typically scheduled within 24 hours of telephone consultation. Valley Humane Society often receives multiple inquiries per animal, and will contact all applicants by phone or email.
