Frequently Asked Questions
Can I walk in for pet vaccinations?
We do not currently offer walk-in vaccination appointments. Please use our simple form to schedule your appointment.
Should I microchip my pet?
Yes! Lost pets with a registered microchip have a greater chance of being reunited with their families. Using a proper collar and tag can help pets get home even faster. Read our blog post to learn more about microchipping your pet.
Does microchipping hurt my pet?
Microchipping is a quick, safe procedure with minimal discomfort—comparable to a routine vaccination. It does not require anesthesia and is well tolerated by both cats and dogs.
Do microchips require maintenance?
Microchips are an investment in your pet’s safety and your peace of mind. Proper registration and regular maintenance increase the chance of reunification if your pet ever gets lost.
We recommend you:
- Check at least once a year that your pet’s microchip can be scanned. Ask your veterinarian or a local shelter to scan your pet with a universal scanner. It is important to slowly scan the entire body as microchips can migrate over time.
- Update your microchip information if you move or change your phone number.
- Add a backup contact (like a trusted friend or family member) in case you are unreachable.
