Valley Humane Society Unveils Annual Gala Early This Year
Tails at Twilight Delivers Furry Fun at Black & White Ball on April 12
PLEASANTON, California—February 20, 2025—Join Valley Humane Society on Saturday, April 12, 2025 as we host our 11th annual Tails at Twilight gala. Presented by Rondo Energy, this year’s event is a glorious Black & White Ball, a premier experience raising funds in celebration of our shared bond with companion animals. Tails at Twilight will be held from 6-11 pm at the beautiful Casa Real at Ruby Hill Winery, located at 410 Vineyard Ave in Pleasanton.
The evening kicks off with a warm greeting from our Canine Comfort dogs during the champagne reception, where guests can mingle with friends amidst our silent auction while enjoying delicious passed hors d’oeuvres. An elegant, seated dinner follows, with delectable dishes of vegan Thai coconut curry, seared salmon, or wine-braised short ribs according to your selection. Finishing flourishes to the night include a lively auction, a boisterous round of Heads or Tails, and dancing.
Auction items include a 7-night cycling tour two through the Sicily Baroque villages in Italy; a 3-night stay in beautiful Scottsdale, Arizona, and a chef’s dinner for 8 at Oyo. Due to the early timeframe of this year’s event, Valley Humane’s exclusive Ambassadog packages will be on hiatus, as lucky pups Jeter Ball (Pleasanton) and Oreo Budil (Livermore) are newly crowned top dogs in their own hometowns for 2025.
Proceeds from Tails at Twilight benefit Valley Humane Society’s lifesaving animal welfare programs and life-enriching community services, such as cat and dog adoption, AniMeals pet food pantry, the Phil Scholz Veterinary Surgery Center, and Canine Comfort pet-assisted therapy, which supports mental health and wellbeing all over the Bay Area. Tickets to Tails at Twilight are $200 per person, and frequently sell out well in advance. Snag your tickets now, while they last!
