Spooktacular Tails at Twilight Set for October 29

Sep 16, 2021

PLEASANTON, California—September 16, 2021—Gathering in person may be the ultimate treat at Valley Humane Society’s 7th annual Tails at Twilight gala, scheduled for October 29, 2021. Always a wickedly fun evening, Tails at Twilight raises funds to support animal welfare and community enrichment programs, while celebrating the bond we share with our beloved companion animals. This year’s Spooktacular feast will be held at Pleasanton’s Palm Event Center, 1184 Vineyard Ave, from 6-11 pm.

Guests will be greeted with a champagne reception followed by passed hors d’oeuvres, a full no-host bar, and an elegant seated dinner. This year’s devilishy delicious entrees include a vegan Thai coconut curry, a pistachio-crusted Alaskan cod, and wine-braised short ribs. A lively auction, wine pull, boisterous round of Heads or Tails, and dancing will ensure revelry ensues. Grab tickets at valleyhumane.org for $150 per person before they disappear!

A bewitching assortment of auction items also awaits, including a case of Hall Winery wines with tasting passes, a two-night stay at Sunriver Resort in Oregon, and a trip for two to San Luis Obispo. For guests who reside in Pleasanton, the Ambassadog package offers one lucky pup the exclusive opportunity to be named the City’s official Ambassadog for 2022.

Proceeds from Tails at Twilight benefit Valley Humane Society’s lifesaving animal welfare programs and lifeenriching community services, such as Canine Comfort pet therapy, which offers therapeutic pet visitation to children with cancer, Alzheimer’s patients, veterans, and more.

A Halloween-themed event cries out for costumes, but while witches’ brooms and ghostly sheets are optional, masks must be worn, except while eating. All guests must show proof of vaccination or negative PCR or antigen test within 24-72 hours of the event. All venue staff working during Tails at Twilight will also be masked.

Tails at Twilight is sponsored by a horde of incredible businesses and individuals whose support makes the magical evening possible, including Give Hope sponsors Jeff and Doris Hank and Platinum Paw sponsors The Pleasanton Weekly and Gina Piper with Elation Real Estate. Sponsorship opportunities are still available; please call (925) 426-8656 for more information.
