Valley Humane Joins NBC Bay Area and Telemundo 48 for 12th Annual Clear the Shelters
PLEASANTON, California—August 12, 2026—Valley Humane Society has once again teamed up with NBC Bay Area/KNTV and Telemundo 48/KSTS for NBCUniversal Local’s Clear the Shelters 12th annual pet adoption drive. As part of the nationwide initiative, the goal is to find new homes for all the cats and dogs in its care by the end of August.
Dozens of adorable, adoptable cats and dogs are looking for loving homes, including pups Raj Mathai and Marcus Washington.
Marcus Washington is a sweet and active 3-month-old puppy who knows how to “sit” and is eager to learn more tricks! This bright and curious pup loves being the center of attention and wants to be held.
Raj Mathai is a gentle pup who calms down quickly after revving up. The 3-month-old pup is learning confidence in foster care and is happy to sit quietly or just take a nap. He also loves to be held!
Valley Humane Society is located at 3670 Nevada Street in Pleasanton and is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm. All adoptable animals are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and have received age-appropriate vaccines. Standard adoption criteria apply.
