Medical Assistance Fund
Because cost should never stand in the way of care.
At Valley Humane Society, we believe that every animal deserves access to veterinary treatment—whether they’re awaiting adoption in our care or living with a loving guardian facing financial hardship. That belief is the heart of our Medical Assistance Fund
Thanks to this donor-powered fund, we’re able to bridge critical gaps in care—ensuring that more animals in our community can live healthy, happy lives.
What the Medical Assistance Fund Makes Possible
When you give to the Medical Assistance Fund, you help ensure that animals in our community get the care they need—no matter their circumstances. Your support helps:
- Provide lifesaving medical treatment for shelter animals in need of urgent or specialized care beyond what we can offer in-house.
- Make spay/neuter services accessible
- Deliver basic veterinary care to the pets of seniors, unhoused individuals, and other community members receiving supportive services in the Tri-Valley through our Field Veterinary Program. Launched in 2024 with a founding gift from Pearl Florence Filipski, this program helps keep loved animals healthy, with the people who cherish them, and out of shelters.
- Expand access to spay/neuter services for individuals with limited resources who are helping manage feral and community cat populations in their neighborhoods.
Your compassion helps bridge the gap in care—thank you for standing with our community’s most vulnerable animals.
