What is post-adoption life like for Cheddar? Here’s what his new mom had to say:
Cheddar,I call him my little Cheddar biscuit, fit right in off the bat. He loves snuggling at night with my son. When I’m working Cheddar hangs out in my office with me. When my kids are home he is following them around. He definitely loves being around people! I joke that his special talent is parkour. I honestly do not know how he is able to do the things he does. He loves anything with bells and feathers and his little cat beanie baby!
Cheddar’s joyful spirit and boundless energy shine in his new home, a reminder of the happiness of finding a loving family.

How Does the Adoption Process Work?
At Valley Humane Society, we strive to make the adoption process as smooth as possible so you can focus on finding your perfect match. Here’s a quick overview of how it works:
- Explore Available Pets: Visit our website or stop by in person to see all the wonderful animals waiting for their next home.
- Submit an Application: Once you’ve found a furry friend who steals your heart, complete our simple adoption application. Our team reviews applications in the order they are received. Be prepared to answer the VHS call soon after you submit your application.
- Meet & Greet: We’ll arrange a meeting to ensure it’s a perfect match for both you and the pet.
- Finalize the Adoption: If it’s a great fit, an adoption counselor will walk you through the paperwork and you head home with your new pet!
