Adoptable Spotlight: Tim Drake

Meet Tim Drake: The Boy Wonder of Valley Humane Society

Every great hero has an origin story, and Tim Drake’s begins in Stockton. This 10-pound mixed breed pup was found as a stray and transferred to Valley Humane Society on March 9, 2026. Since then, he’s been showing his foster family and Valley Humane’s staff that big things really do come in small packages.

A Sidekick With Serious Skills

Tim Drake is sharp. In a short time with his foster family, he’s already mastered “sit” with a few well-placed treats and picked up “off,” “down,” and “no” like a seasoned detective on the case. He’s working on “give,” though handing over the tennis ball is a tough ask when fetch is your favorite mission. Outside, Tim explores the yard with the confidence of a caped crusader, walks beautifully on leash, and gets along great with other dogs. Watching him zip after a ball is its own form of entertainment.

Lap Crusader by Night

When the workday wraps up, Tim Drake trades action for affection. This snuggle-loving boy wants nothing more than to curl up on your lap and clock in some quality sidekick time. He sleeps soundly in his crate overnight and is comfortable hanging out there when his people step away from home.

Still Training Up

Tim is polishing two parts of his hero training: housetraining and being alone. He’s not quite housetrained yet, and given how quickly he’s picked up everything else, he’s a smart guy who should get there with consistent routine. He can also get a little vocal when left alone for long stretches, so a household where he’ll have plenty of company will help him thrive.
