Some dogs walk into your heart. Pogo bounces.
This 20-pound bundle of spring-loaded joy is a young adult mixed-breed dog who came to Valley Humane Society in June from our friends at Tri City Animal Shelter. Ever since, he has been showing off exactly why he earned a name like Pogo: he is up, he is down, he is boing his way through life with a grin on his face and a wag that never quits.
If you have been looking for a small dog with a big personality, get ready. Pogo is about to bounce his way to the top of your list.
A Little Dog With Serious Spring
Pogo lives up to his name. He is energetic, playful, and always ready for the next adventure, whether that is a walk around the block, a game in the yard, or a good old-fashioned zoom across the living room. For an active family, a jogging buddy, or anyone who loves a dog that keeps the fun going, Pogo is a perfect match.
At around 20 pounds and estimated to be between one and four years old, he is the ideal size for adventures big and small. Compact enough to pop into the car for a weekend outing, sturdy enough to keep up with the whole crew.
Bounce, Meet Snuggle
Here is the best part: all that energy comes with an off switch. When the zoomies wind down, Pogo is a total cuddler. He loves being close to his people and will happily trade a game of fetch for a spot on the couch and a round of belly rubs.
He is that wonderful combination of playful and affectionate, the kind of dog who gives you the best of both worlds. Wear him out at the park, then let him melt into your lap at home.
Smart, Social, and Ready to Learn
Pogo is a sharp little guy. He is curious, food-motivated, and quick to catch on, which makes him a joy to train and a great candidate for learning new tricks, games, and routines. Clever dogs like Pogo thrive when they have a job to do and a person to do it with.
